Mindfulness aims to train the mind’s attention, and to inspire people to switch off autopilot in life. A unique combination of 2600 year-old eastern meditation techniques and western psychology, mindfulness is about paying attention to the ‘now’ instead of focusing on the past or feeling anxious about what the future might bring. It’s a way of dealing with all manner of things life can throw at you. Learn how to focus mildly on the moment, on what you’re experiencing in the instant, instead of judging yourself, worrying needlessly or living only for far-off future goals. During this workshop, you’ll learn about different techniques, such as insight meditation, attention training, and meditative yoga.
Practice your new skills at home with the use of a syllabus and accompanying audio files. If you’re serious about learning these techniques, it’s very important to take the time to do your ‘homework’ on a daily basis.
You can sign-up for this training if you want to feel more present in life, if you want to handle stress, fear, panic, worries and negative thoughts in a different way. This training will help you improve your concentration, and help you experience tranquility in your life. The workshop will be held in Dutch.
