What is it?
This workshop covers the most important aspects of studying and planning: processing course material, planning a studying schedule, addressing issues with concentration and motivation, etc. These group sessions are mostly practical in nature, but some theory is included. Take part in exercises to train and sharpen your studying skills, fill out a questionnaire to gauge your core competencies and motivation, and get a head start on conquering your own course material. Participating students will also receive a copy of the workbook ‘Starten met studeren’ (only available in Dutch). This workshop is taught in Dutch.
Who is it for?
The Blokken en Plannen workshop is useful for:
- Students who aren’t sure how to study at a university (concretely)
- Students who want to learn how to structure their semesters, and when to start studying for exams
- Students who would like to have a general overview of what it means to study and plan for exams at a university
- Students who don't feel the need to talk about and work on their study methods in smaller groups
If your questions about studying and planning are more specific, or if you think you would benefit from a more practical approach in a smaller group, the group counseling sessions on studying and planning might be the best option for you. (See below.)
If you have questions regarding the subject matter of your courses, please contact your faculty or relevant teaching staff.
Details about this workshop and possibility to sign-up is to be found on Blackboard under 'Support during your study' (login first).
