In a nutshell


This summer school offers plenary lectures, workshops and excursions related to children's literature. It focuses on four thematic strands: comics, diversity, fairy tales and fantasy.

This summer school is mainly targeted at Master and PhD students, but also open to more senior researchers and professionals with an interest in children’s literature studies. Participants should have at least completed 3 full years of undergraduate education (BA level) by the time of the summer school.


3-6 ECTS credits can be awarded upon successful completion of the programme. More information on the summer school's website.

Registration fee

Early bird (before 01/02): €450 
Regular (before 15/04): €500

University of Antwerp students are entitled to a refund of €150.

The fee includes course material, coffee breaks, 5 lunches, opening reception and a farewell dinner. It does not include accommodation.
