Over de spreker
Rachel Gibson is Professor of Political Science at the Institute for Social Change (ISC), University of Manchester. She has worked in a wide range of academic institutions on research, visiting and lecturing positions including the Australian National University and the Mannheim Centre for European Social research (MZES).
Her research focuses on how elections, political organizations and individuals are adapting to the new media age and what new modes of electioneering and engagement may be developing around web-based campaigns.
She has publishes widely in the field of new media and politics and is currently co-editor of the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties, the Journal of Information Technology and Politics.
