1st University Postdoc Day - June 8 2023 – Programme
Are you currently a postdoctoral researcher at our university or are you in the last year of your PhD? Then join the HR Department and RIVA on the afternoon of June 8 2023 for the first university Postdoc Day. After a welcome speech of Ronny Blust (Vice-Rector Research) we offer a variety of sessions on topics relevant for postdocs, during plenary and parallel sessions.
In the plenary sessions you will get to know more about:
- Research. Courage. Dreams. Skills. Recipes to feed your career hunger
- Courses and initiatives specifically aimed at postdocs
- The organisation of a UAntwerp postdoc community (discussion, your input is welcome)
- The launch of a new webpage for postdocs
In the parallel sessions you can choose between sessions focused on:
- Career perspectives and testimonials beyond academia
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Efficient science communication
There will also be plenty of opportunity to meet your fellow postdocs during coffee and a networking reception.
Practical information
- Target group: Postdoctoral researchers and final-year PhD researchers at UAntwerp
- Location: All sessions will take place at the Stadscampus, Hof van Liere
- Participation is free. Cancellation free of charge is only possible due to illness or unexpected cases of short leave absence. Otherwise, a no-show fee will be charged.
