Simone Krouwer (1992) graduated in 2015 with highest honor as Master Strategic Communication at University of Antwerp. Currently, she’s part of MIOS, a research group within the Department of Communication Studies at University of Antwerp. She has a great interest in native advertising, a spectrum of new online advertising forms that are designed to blend in with its surrounded context. For example, a sponsored news article, or suggested posts in Facebook’s news feed.
Her research focuses on the effectiveness of these advertising techniques, as well as the consequences for the platforms on which they are placed.
