Short description: Informal lunchtime meeting with Prof Frances Stewart

The lunchtime seminar is intended as an informal encounter with professor Stewart and to exchange ideas and expertise about researching conflict and inequality.

Frances Stewart 
Prof Em Frances Stewart was director of the Center for Research on Inequality, Human Security and Ethnicity (CRISE), funded by DFID from 2003 and 2010. The research established the critical role played by horizontal inequalities, inequalities among salient identity groups, in causing conflict. In collaboration with partners, the Venter conducted research all over the world, with a particular focus on West Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia.
