Short description: PhD Day

As every year, we organize the (Faculty of) Social Sciences PhD day, open for all PhD students from all faculties. Limited spaces available, so...register fast!

The workshop, brought to you by Lies Martens and Harald Van Beeck from Expert Academy, concerns Elevator Pitching. How do you 'sell' your idea? How do you convince other people of your project? How do you get your colleagues enthusiastic to go along with your story? Elevator speech or elevator pitch means conveying your message in a brief, clear and compact manner. Elevator talk is also essential for networking and it is a useful tool for establishing fruitful contacts with potential prospects. Elevator talk opens doors. A powerful and impactful elevator pitch will enable you to leave a professional and lasting impression and will improve your chances for success.  In this practice-oriented workshop you will learn how to create your own successful elevator speech, and to convey it to others in a convincing way.
