Short description: 13th meeting of the International Skeletal Dysplasia Society (ISDS)

13th meeting of the International Skeletal Dysplasia Society (ISDS)

The meeting is planned on 20-23 September 2017 and will be held in beautiful Bruges, a quiet and relatively small city in the northern part of Belgium. Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its history, culture and architecture.

For the venue of the meeting we chose the Old St. John site that is located in the heart of the city and in walking distance of the congress hotels. This site is the place where one of the earliest infirmaries in medieval Europe was located. In the 19th century it was home to the St. John’s hospital. Nowadays it serves as a congress and event centre.

The focus of the meeting will be on the clinical, radiographic and molecular aspects of rare and genetic disorders of the skeleton with special attention to the newest discoveries within this field. More details on the program will follow.
We strongly encourage clinicians and researchers with an interest in rare bone disorders to attend this meeting. In tradition with the previous excellent meetings, held in different places all over the world, we will do our best to offer you a top scientific program and enjoyable stay in Bruges. Hope to see you all next year in Belgium!

Yours sincerely,

Geert Mortier and Wim Van Hul
Co-chairs of the 13th ISDS meeting
