On 2 March 2018, the Special Collections division of the library of the University of Antwerp will be hosting a seminar to celebrate the completion of the online catalogue and accompanying digitalization of a collection of devotional prints and related texts that formerly belonged to the late Alfons Thijs. The program comprises several lectures on the importance of cataloguing and digitalizing such collections by, among others, Dr. Karen L. Bowen (University of Antwerp), Dr. Jeroen Salman (University of Utrecht), and Jan Corthouts (Anet). Following the seminar there will be an opportunity to see the accompanying exhibition of a selection from the Thijs Collection, in addition to partaking in a concluding reception.
