Plasmon scattering at defects and interfaces

Thanks to the ever increasing lifetime of plasmons in graphene and other 2D materials, it has become possible to truly treat them as quasiparticles that can be used for plasmonic applications. As a natural question it then rises whether how these plasmons behave under scattering at defects and interfaces. In this talk we will explore a new theory that describes how plasmons respond to the presence of scatterers.
