Programme

To support young researchers, and especially Ph.D. students and postdocs, the Marketing Department of the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Antwerp is organizing a Workshop on Personalization in Marketing. We have invited 2 expert speakers: Sophie Boerman and Sanne Kruikemeier (ASCoR, University of Amsterdam). Dr. Boerman will present a review of the literature on online behavioral advertising, as well as the results of a recent empirical study on the boundary conditions of personalized advertising effectiveness. Dr. Kruikemeier will present both conceptual and empirical work on political microtargeting.

Attendance is free and participants are invited for a networking reception after the workshop.

Spaces are limited, so registration is on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis.

The tentative schedule is as follows (exact times and locations to be confirmed later on):

  • 13.00 – 13.30: Welcome and coffee
  • 13.30 – 15.00: Sophie Boerman
  • 15.00 – 15.15: Coffee break
  • 15.15 – 16.45: Sanne Kruikemeier
  • 16.45 – 17.15: Q&A session
  • 17.15 – 18.30: Networking reception at Agora Café
