About the lecture

After 75 years of investigation and analysis into the Holocaust, an enormous amount of documentation, knowledge, and interpretation has been collected on the murder of European Jews during the Second World War. Critical perspectives on the Holocaust have shifted over time, however, not least with some perspectives being lost after the 1950s and recovered only since the 1980s. This presentation seeks to shed light on the current state of knowledge about the Holocaust, but also discusses blind spots and difficulties in the field.
