The Biology Research Day 2016

On October 5 2016, the Department of Biology organized the second Biology Research Day.
Researchers, students and administrative and technical personnel all joined to catch up with the latest research highlights from the department. In total, over 250 participants attended the Research Day. The presentations at the research day were showed the large diversity of research performed and techniques applied at the Biology department: four keynotes, twelve PhD-pitch presentations and 68 posters. Nine sponsors were present to convince researchers how they can facilitate their research with novel products, a tenth sponsor supplied the prices for best PhD-pitch and poster presentation. Joachim Mariën won the best pitch-award, while Ken Schoutens earned the price for best poster. Their contributions can be downloaded here.
