Public Governance workshop

Date: 3 March 2017

Introduction: Koen Verhoest, Jan Wynen and Jan Boon (UAntwerp) participate in a successful Public Governance workshop in Utrecht.

The workshop served a triple purpose.

  • Firstly, by organizing focused and multidisciplinary academic as well as senior practitioner workshops, the conveners wanted to get rich feedback on their preliminary research ideas.

  • Secondly, by bringing together scholars from various (sub)disciplines and traditions in the study of politics, public policy, public management and public governance, the conveners aimed  to develop a ‘rich collage’ of ways of thinking about, investigating and explaining things that do in fact really work very well and/or can be deemed highly valuable, well-reputed and strongly supported in the public sector.

  • Thirdly, the conveners wanted to generate excitement about and explore the potential for collaborative work in this broad domain in the coming years.
