Expert seminar on International Financial Regulatory Standards and Human Rights

Inleiding: Prof Danny Bradlow, SARChI Professor of International Development Law and African Economic Relations atĀ the University of Pretoria, gave a seminar onĀ International Financial Regulatory Standards and Human Rights: Connecting the Dots.

On 11 December 2017, the Law & Development Reseach Group hosted a seminar by Prof Danny Bradlow, SARChI Professor of International Development Law and African Economic Relations at the University of Pretoria, entitled International Financial Regulatory Standards and Human Rights: Connecting the Dots.

Professor Bradlow presented insights from his recent research project, seeking to answer the question of whether a human rights analysis adds value to finance. Professor Bradlow shared the findings from the project, outlining that adding a human rights perspective creates risks and rewards for both finance and human rights but that the benefits outweigh the costs.
