ATILA 2019 was organised this year by CLiPS in an updated format, which emphasised the topic of conversational agents and included a panel discussion on the state of NLP research.
Several CLiPS members also presented work in progress on various topics including computational psycholinguistics, neural machine translation and biomedical NLP. The conference was held at a rather unique location: the historic Nottebohm room of the Hendrik Conscience Heritage
Library, which has been collecting and maintaining works crucial to Flemish cultural heritage for more than five centuries.
