At the start of this course the student should have acquired the following competences:

- Knowing and applying the basic notions and characteristics concerning a real analysis of one variable (continuity, limits, derivatives, indefinite, definite and improper integrals) and multiple variables (limits and derivatives) (BE1)
- Knowing and applying basic notions and characteristics concerning plane geometry and 3D space. (BE1)
- Knowing and applying basic notions and characteristics concerning complex numbers.
- Capable of using concepts concerning real analysis from 1 or more variables in order to solve a cross-disciplined problem.
- Knowing and applying basic notions and characteristics concerning linear algebra, using the Matlab program. (BE2)

- Study of real functions of one variable. Definitions, continuity , limits, derivatives, indefinite and definite integrals. With applications. Improper integrals through calculation.
- Curves in the plane: cartesian equation / system of parametric equations. Polar coordinates , polar curves .
- Complex numbers. Space geometry : points , lines, planes.
- Linear algebra: matrices, systems.

The course has an international dimension.
