3. Course contents *

An introductory chapter reiterates the development of evolutionary thought. The second chapter concerns the fundamental principles of micro-evolution. It introduces a series of important concepts and then discusses old and current controversies concerning the theory of evolution by natural selection. The third chapter takes a quick look at macro-evolutionary events and the speed and tempo at which these occur. The final chapter covers biological nomenclature and classification, discussing different views and methods.
