3. Course contents *

This course introduces the most important hydrological and meteorological processes, being the basis of weather and climate and the hydrological cycle.

The partim 'hydrology' deals with the concept of energybalance on micro- and macroscale, and its implication for evaporation; precipitation, groundwater flow and quality. Calculations exercises will be used to support the theory.

The partim 'climatology' deals with the atmosphere, the formation of clouds, wind systems and ocean currents and their influence on the climate on earth.
