3. Course contents *

The dissertation for the Bachelor's in Computer Science is a cross-curricular group project in which a group of students works on a the developoment of a software solution. The problem description changes every year, but the approach to the group project remains the same. That approach includes researching the problem, proposing a solution, software development consisting of designing, coding, testing, documenting ...

During the theoretical part of the course you will be given an introduction to the problem definition and an overview of the requirements regarding
• functioning in a group
• the periodic and final reporting
• the software development process
• the tools to be used
• the milestones that must be respected
• the work products that must be delivered

Indeed, not only the delivered work products (code, documents, presentations, ...) but also the approach of the project is important. As a group of students you get a great deal of autonomy in determining the timing in which work products are delivered. However, respecting those deadlines (which you determine in group) is also part of the final evaluation.
