This course is an introductory course in Economics and consists of two parts: a microeconomic part and a small macroeconomic part. In the first part, the fundamentals of microeconomics will be studied: the demand-supply model and the price setting; the analysis of the behavior of economic agents, such as consumers and producers, based on the theory of consumer behavior and the production theory and the necessity of regulation by the government. In the second part, the macroeconomic interdependence of national aggregates  will be elaborated. Furthermore, economic growth and development will be discussed including the comparison of the neoclassical economic growth theory and the new growth theory.
