3. Course contents *

The following groups of analytical methods are discussed:

(1) optical spectro(photo)metry: molecular absorption, fluorescence en fosforescence,

(2) atomic spectrometry: atomic absorption, fluorescence en emission,

(3) X-ray fluorescence and Scanning Electron microscopy

In addition to this, the course contains a chapter on the characteristics of analytical methods, such as sensitivity, detection limits, linear and dynamic range, robustness, specificity etc..
