3. Course contents *

This course (in which seminars and experimentation are combined) connects experimental methods, laboratory skills and experimental scientific research.

 

 

 

A dozen projects shall be proposed, including both smaller ("1 credit") and larger ("2 credit") projects. The student is required to work out either 2 large projects and 1 small one, or 1 large one and 3 small ones (total 5 "credits") in the course of the academic year.

In addition, a number of experiments shall be offered whereby the choice of techniques (spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, classical and time-resolved Raman spectroscopy, flash photolysis, electron microscopy...) and the content of the assignment tie in with current scientific research. This shall be elucidated extensively at the beginning of the academic year.
