Basics of mathematics at high school level (vectors, trigonometry, complex numbers), and some basic calculus techniques tought in the Mathematics course programmed in Ba1. Basics of physics (forces, waves etc.). Skills in error analysis, report writing and problem solving, as tought in the course Physics I (1Ba)

- The student has obtained a basic knowledge of Physics, as preparation for later work as a scientist or a high school teacher.
- Students master basic techniques used in many measurement systems, they will learn how to use the computer as a measuring instrument, how to apply theoretical formulas in problem solving, and how to report on experiments.

In the therory course, the most important topics in electricity, electromagnetism, phyisical optics, microscopes and atomic physics are treated. In the lab sessions, students will work with several basic measurement techniques, and will use the computer as measurement tool.

Scores are devided as follows:

theory: 60/120, multiple choice closed book, with correction for guessing (+1 point for correct anwer, -1/3 point for wrong answer, 0 for unanswered question)

problem solving: 30/120, open book
