"Fundamentals of Chemistry II" course is sequel of "Fundamentals of Chemistry I". This second part of the course comprises a number of chapters dealing with physical chemistry and also includes a part on descriptive chemistry. In first part, reactions and chemical equilibria in solution are treated, such as ionisatio-equilibria, acid-base behaviour, the formation of complexes and the solubility of salts. In a second part, a number of aspects of kinetics of chemical reactions are discussed. Finally, in the part about Electrochemistry, after studying electrodes and electrode-potentials, some applications such as batteries and power-cells are described, together with a discussion about the electrochemical aspects of corrosion. In the part about Descriptive Chemistry, in a systematic manner, the preparation, properties and the use of a number of important inorganic reagents are described.
