The students gain insight into the causes of migration in the Flemish/Belgian, European and international context. The various forms of migration will be discussed and the consequences of migration on societies in the short and long term will be thematically examined. Special attention will be paid to the image of diversity and migration. For example, how do societies respond to the fact that diversity is increasing? Specifically, the following themes will be discussed: colonial history and decolonization, identity, religion, privacy, education, labor market, image formation, migration, migration and integration policy. During the lessons attention is always paid to dialogue and reflection and therefore different beliefs, ideas, views and ideas are taken into account.
