3. Course contents *

The first lessons focus on political-philosophical approaches to 'freedom', 'citizenship' and 'democracy'. Authors such as Hannah Arendt, Isaiah Berlin, Will Kymlicka, John Stuart Mill and John Rawls will be central. The other lessons deal with specific topics such as populism, human rights and civil rights, resilient democracy, gender and intersectionality, active citizenship, and democracy at the European level.
