This practical course starts with an introduction to the electronic learning platform ' Blackboard ' that the UA is using, followed by internet, search engines, literature and databases, all actively.
Dealing with common office software and email software is discussed in more detail for wordprocessing-spreadsheets-presentation software and pdf-files. In a next step a clearly defined medical problem which is closely linked to a relevant topic for the field of study, is discussed. Thereafter, the student will need to gather the necessary information electronically and demonstrate how this information was obtained. The last step in the process is to write a short communication including the answers to the questions asked, and to submit this electronically via Blackboard (electronic learning environment). After each exercise, the student will get feedback both on the formal aspects of the answers as well as the content. At regulmar times, interactive review lectures are organised on the topics where the student is questioned with repsect to the knowledge gained. The final evaluations are made by means of multiple-choice questions matched-questions-true/false questions-fill in the blank questions-etc..
