3. Course contents *

Collection management:

  • formulating concrete outcomes for the management of collection by means of overview of protocols en flow charts (e.g. loantraffic, digitising museum displays and changes in collections).
  • management of a depot: description, design and planning voor (complex) collections

Museology:

At the beginning of the 21st century the museum and heritage institution in general is confronted by important challenges: financial insecurity, changing expectations, the social role of the museum, difficulties with attracting new groups, aging population, the digitalisation of culture, ... What kind of means do museums and other heritage institutions at their disposal to cope with these challenges?
