The main topics are respect, responsibility and durability. Moreover, the lectures contain a thorough study of ethical systems (e.g., feminism), especially humanism and neohumanism. Subsequently, this knowledge is applied to cases selected from science ethics and transgenerational ethics.
Image communication 5 (J. Nackaerts / G. Van Echelpoel / S. Martens / B. Perneel - 40%)
This part of the course focuses on the narrative power of images. Both analogue and digital techniques are applied to develop a personal language of image that can be used to interpret a design. Moreover, advanced layout skills are practised. Students learn to prepare a document technically and apply this knowledge in, for example, their reflection portfolios and presentation portfolios.
