3. Course contents *

The lessons encompass 4 themes:
- Spine
- Upper limbs
- Lower limbs
- Systemic diseases
 
Hereby the orthopaedics, traumatology (and fractures), rheumatology and physical medicine will be integrated per theme. Theoretical clinical semiology lessons are linked with hands-on sessions of examination of the normal locomotor system, taught by the group of ‘clinical line’.
 
The following topics will be handled:
- Degenerative spinal diseases of cervical spine and lumbar spine: casus lumbago, hernia, spinal stenosis…
- Differential diagnosis (metastases, RA C1-2, …)
- Spondylarthropathies
- Clinical lesson CWK (mechanical), LWK (inflammatory) + image processing
- Patient Partner Program
- Osteoporosis, Paget: cases and differential diagnosis
- Traumatology (chapter 8, 9, 10)
- Tumors and pathological fractures
- Traumatology upper limb
- Clinical lessons traumatology at ligaments + Südeck, loge syndrome
- PSH, epicondylitis, … cases and differential diagnosis
- Traumatology lower limb
- Monoarticular pathology differential diagnosis
- Polyarticular pathology differential diagnosis (RA, …)
- Clinical lesson knee trauma (triad), acute (infectious) arthritis
- Osteomyelitis, avascular necrosis, …cases and differential diagnosis
- Generalized pain: fibromyalgia (+/- CVS) and differential diagnosis
- Systemic diseases (SLE, Sjögren)
- Systemic diseases (Sclerodermia, Myositis, vasculitis, …) and differential diagnosis
- Clinical lessons SLE, arteritis temporalis
