1. Prerequisites *

At the start of this course the student should have acquired the following competences:

2. Learning outcomes *

You have a view on the design- and research problem.
You can connect the narration of a space with the users of that space.
You can apply the power of the narration in the design proces.
You can, under the guiding of a coach, evaluate other students.
You can recognise the limits of the used form of communication.
You can present your research verbally and are able to motivate your vision in a debate with other students.
You are able to recognise your own personnality in the design proces, and defend your personal ethical vision and egagement towards the users of the space.
You can use advanced lay-out techniques in order to make a booklet.
You can prepare a digital document for specific realisationtechniques.
You can apply digital an analogue tchniques to enhance communication.
You can choose the best verbal or non-verbal communication related to the message or target group and use this in your research by design.

3. Course contents *

In thise casestudy we search for the story behind the design. Every design is a proces in which the designer has do cooporate with the different stakeholders, such as the client, the target group, the contractor, ..... . The student has to interview the stakeholders of a specific casestudy, and write down their stories. These stories have to be translated to a new concept which has to be visualised by a grafic novel.
