3. Course contents *

The course “Self and non-self” addresses the basic principles of structure and function of the immune system and normal immune response. Particular focus is put on the basic knowledge on antigen recognition and presentation and development of normal humoral and cellular immune responses. In addition, the course elaborates on the basic mechanisms of immunepathologic reactions, particularly allergic diseases.
