3. Course contents *

In the bachelor's thesis there are two components; the Bachelor Thesis Design and the Bachelor Thesis Report. The Bachelor Thesis is a demonstration of knowledge, understanding and skills you have acquired during your training. It is a final and comprehensive assessment of your skills as a professional designer and researcher. The theme and context of the assignment are aligned with current research in the study of Interior Design. In the bachelor thesis the nexus between education and research comes visible. You will try to design the best possible solution to a problem (social, cultural, economic, ..) within a contextual framework and you will  base your work on findings off analytical research. According your own coherent vision you will tune your research and design methodology. In design practice you learn to handle complexity and time pressure. In a professional presentation you will demonstrate your abilities as a designer and expert, your critical knowledge and ability, your research and communication skills.

In the Bachelor Thesis Report you learn how to communicate the result and essence of your bachelor thesis in a promotional way. You learn to reflect objectively and nuanced about your performance, research and your position as an interior architect. You design a promotional press file and a reflection document, supplemented with a image synthesis of your project and included in the POP3 presentation portfolio.

In the Bachelor Thesis Report you learn how to communicate the proces and product of your design research.  The abstact reports on the preliminary examination of your bachelor's thesis (see Orientation Bachelor Thesis), the justification of your research results and a reflection on your role as interior architect in our society. An image synthesis shows the result of your Bachelor Thesis which you can include  in your portfolio.
