This research seminar is conceived as a discussion seminar that relies on active particpation by the students. Active participation takes essentially two froms:
- Each student is expected to read the text to be discussed at the next seminar beforehand and prepara two questions. During the seminar the moderator or professor can appoint somebody and ask to present his or her two questions
- Each student acts at least once as moderator to a discussion. The moderation role is done in pairs. The moderators prepare the text and hold a short, 20 min introduction into the topic. Afterwords moderators lead the discussuion and actively involve the other students.
The research seminar starts with an introductory lesson in which practical arrangements are discussed. It is advisable for all students to attend this lesson.
Each seminar we read one text. All texts are made available through blackboard. This year we work with the following texts:
