3. Course contents *

This course consists of two parts:

1) A joint part, together with the students of Bachelor Biology, Master Biomedical Sciences and Master Biochemistry & Biotechnology

After an introduction to ethics including methodology of the discipline, the student participates in 4 seminars, each of which is devoted to a specific theme. Topics include: animal rights, ethics of patenting genes, the ethics of epigenetics, biodiversity and agriculture. Each of the seminars is the basis for a dialogue/discussion between experts, students and teachers.


2) A part for the students of philosophy

This part consist of an interactive lecture on reproductive technologies and ethics, and two seminars where we will discuss papers and specific reproductive technologies
