3. Course contents *

This course aims to provide a historical and thematic "basic literacy" of Jewish philosophy. After the introduction in which the concept of Jewish philosophy itself is subjected to a critical review and some important basic concepts of Judaism are clarified, a historical overview from ancient times until today is provided. Focus is on Medieval Rationalism and its criticism, the Enlightenment, the radical Jewish philosophy of the 20th century and the "political turn" of modern Jewish thought.
