3. Course contents *

First, a set of terminology is discussed regarding information systems, a typology of information systems, and the role information systems play in (innovative) organizations.  Next, the building blocks for the development of information systems are discussed.  Aspects of systems development such as the waterfall model are discussed and a holistic overview is presented of the evolutions in the areas of hardware, software and networks.

Finally, the basis of information technology and digital signal processing is discussed.
