3. Course contents *

ACADwrite is the writing-through-reading component of English Proficiency and takes language awareness raising as its starting point. This will lead to theoretical overviews (Theoretical Module) and exercises (Practical Module) and reading and writing tasks (Assignments) which will be peer reviewed and individually corrected. The practical module can be found on a dedicated learning space where every exercise is provided with corrections, sample solutions, and extensive feedback (which you first can see after you have done the exercise).

During contact sessions you first sit a quiz on the theoretical module before major points from both a theoretical and practical angle are being highlighted.

Individual writing assignments will undergo peer review –which is introduced in class– before they are individually corrected and marked. General feedback and tips will be provided in class before you rewrite and upload the final version on Blackboard.

ACADwrite consists of weekly contact sessions, autonomous/self-directed work on theory and practice, and is being supported through tutorals and an active learning community.
