3. Course contents *

We will approach the modernity of theatre, film and literature as a constellation of images and ideas. Every lesson will be based on a theoretical exposé and a visual part (consisting of fragments from silent cinema and theater, contemporary practices, design and architecture...) that will not only illustrate the theoretical reflection, but also offer alternative forms of signification. This method is inspired by the Arcades Project of Walter Benjamin, an interdisciplinary chronicle of modernity that uses the fragment as its foundation.
