3. Course contents *

The course provides an introduction to the major trends and research methodologies in Translation Studies and Interpreting Studies today. It offers the students a theoretical framework and scientific methods that will allow them to situate their activities as translators/interpreters within a broader scientific context and that will allow them to analyse and discuss some of their translation/interpreting strategies. The course consists of two parts: Translation Studies (by dr. Francis Mus) on the one hand and  audiovisual translation and Interpreting Studies (by prof. Nina Reviers) on the other hand.
