3. Course contents *

The course starts with a theoretical overview of the Belgian legal system and the available national and international legal resources.
Students then learn and practice in the law library, in small groups and under the tuition of a teaching assistant, the different techniques for legal research on legislation, cases and legal doctrine. The use of legal electronic databases (Belgian State Gazette, Belgian and supranational courts, TWS, Larcier, Judit, Jura, RAJB, ...) is an important part therein.
Finally, students learn to collect all relevant legal materials to solve a legal question in a case.
