3. Course contents *

After the introduction, in which the objectives and functions of financial management are outlined, we zoom in on corporate governance concerns as a guiding principles for good CFO practices. We discuss the foundations of corporate finance (cash, time value of management) in the second part. In part three we analyze the valuation of real and financial assets, including bonds, stocks and financial options. The relationship between risk and return is discussed. In the following section methods for the assessment and selection of investment projects are proposed and the cost of capital for companies is discussed. In the next part the capital structure decision and the dividend policy of companies are analyzed.
