In this course, students will acquire the skills required to function in companies where English is the working language or where it is frequently used. During the interactive seminars, students focus on topics such as: Job Search – from the CV to the job interview; Successful meetings and negotiations; Presenting information and leading discussions of topical business subjects; Writing in various genres (press releases, memos, academic abstracts), for various readers (corporate internal, corporate external/customers, academic) and with various purposes (summarising, breaking disappointing news, persuading)

Most activities will rely on a combination of independent study and preparation, pairwork and work in small groups, classroom discussion and interaction. Students will be able to select activities for assessment and target their efforts accordingly.
