3. Course contents *

Leeronderzoek is a practical course in which students carry out political research. The precise research project varies but the full research cycle, fromtheory construction to reporting, is treated.

During Leeronderzoek I the following phases are usually conducted: 

  • Theoretical elaboration of the research domain and the question of the research (including literature);
  • Instrument selection and construction. In consultation with the supervisor, the students design the necessary tools for the study. This may include the preparation of questionnaires, but also the use of other data collection techniques;
  • Data collection. Students  send out questionnaires, do interviews, code data ....
