Students choose from a range of different design studios / research groups. The design studio chosen for ‘Architectuurontwerp 2’ has to be different to the one chosen for ‘ Architectuurontwerp 1’. Within each studio they work in groups or individually. There is a weekly feedback through group and individual sessions. The design studio is supported by theoretical input, external lectures and workshops. Students practice integrated design under supervision. They are taking into account all possible conditions, such as social, environmental, technical. From a critical view on the task, they develop their own project definition, a methodology and a reference framework. This vision are set out into spatial concepts (conceptualization), which are translated into an architectural design. Students consider generic criteria such as sustainability, diversity, accessibility and security. Within the specific criteria of the project, they also develop their own methodology. They present and argue the design for a jury and for the studio group.
The specific tasks, objectives and descriptions are listed on the program descriptions of the studios.
