3. Course contents *

This course deals with the functioning of the movement apparatus (musculo-skeletal system) of vertebrates.  Focus is on two important ecological functions - locomotion and feeding - determining to a large extent the fitness of organosms.  Several specific functions (swimming, flight, terrestrial locomotion, aquatic and terrestrial feeding...) are related to their morphological specialisations.
