3. Course contents *

The course consists of three main modules: transmission electron microscopy imaging, electron diffraction and optical and magnetic resonance spectroscopy, each taught by a different docent.

The topics include but are not restricted to: basic electron optics and setup of the transmission electron microscope, dynamical electron scattering in perfect crystals, observation of defects in crystals, electron diffraction experiments, structure solution and refinement using electron diffraction data, optical spectroscopy of nanosystems, magnetic resonance experiments.
