- Complex analysis You know the theorems of complex analysis and can use them to solve problems Specific subgoals - prove properties of complex functions. - use contour integration - solve differential equations with the help of Lapace transforms
- Special functions - solve differential equations with the Frobenius method - compute integrals with special functions

- Taylor and Laurent series
- Techniques to compute contour integrals

Statistical Mechanics

- Second order phase transtions and critical exponents
- Mean field theory of second order phase transtions
- Landau theory of phase transitions
- Introduction to the renormalization group
